چکیده

An updated subtribal classification of the Compositae–Anthemideae is presented based on gene- and species-tree reconstructions considering sequence variation from plastid (cpDNA ndhF, trnL-trnF) nuclear genome (nrDNA ITS1-5.8S-ITS2, ETS; nDNA dual specificity phosphatase DSP, plus-3 domain-containing protein vernalization independence 5 complex VIP5, major facilitator superfamily Nitrate Transporter1/Peptide Transporter NPF3.1) for 113 115 hitherto accepted genera tribe. As a result, six subtribes are newly circumscribed, i.e. Anthemidinae (including also Xylanthemum), Artemisiinae Hulteniella, Lepidolopha, Opisthopappus Tridactylina), Glebionidinae Otoglyphis, Endopappus Nivellea), Handeliinae Cancrinia, Polychrysum excluding Leucantheminae Daveaua, Heteromera Otospermum) Leucanthemopsidinae Phalacrocarpum). Additionally, five unigeneric (i.e. Brocchiinae, Inulantherinae, Lepidophorinae, Lonadinae Vogtiinae) described as new to science due their phylogenetically isolated positions, resulting in 19 Compositae–Anthemideae. Three combinations proposed accommodate former Aaronsohnia factorovskyi Warb. & Eig A. pubescens subsp. maroccana (Ball) Fennane Ibn Tattou genus Otoglyphis Pomel (1874), which was found have priority over (1927), Tanacetum paleaceum Podlech Xylanthemum Tzvelev. ABSTP, Act.--Cladistic analysis of 157 characters of definitive plumages and soft parts, natal plumages, tracheae, and nontracheal skeletons of 59 Anatini (sensu Livezey 1986) provided a phylogenetic hypothesis of high consistency (C! = 0.71, excluding unique autapomorphies) and resolution (tree completely resolved except for two nested trichotomies, a trichotomy within the northern-hemisphere ...

Reconstructing the evolution and biogeographic history of tribe Cardueae (Compositae).

UNLABELLED PREMISE OF THE STUDY Tribe Cardueae (thistles) forms one of the largest tribes in the family Compositae (2400 species), with representatives in almost every continent. The greatest species richness of Cardueae occurs in the Mediterranean region where it forms an important element of its flora. New fossil evidence and a nearly resolved phylogeny of Cardueae are used here to reconst...

Algorithms for Phylogenetic Reconstructions

Preface As the title implies, the focus of these notes is on ideas and algorithmic methods that are applied when evolutionary relationships are to be reconstructed from molecular sequences or other species-related data. Biological aspects like the molecular basis of evolution or methods of data acquisition and data preparation are not included. A number of textbooks have been published covering...
